Deadline set for Beckham deal

Don Garber, MLS commissioner has set a deadline of Friday (tomorrow) for the Beckham deal to be completed otherwise Beckham will be required to return to The Galaxy next month.
LA Galaxy have been reported as asking for £15m, AC Milan have been reported as saying they won't pay over £5m for the 34 year old player. The consensus is that a deal can be done for around £8m with the option of Beckham buying himself out of his MLS contract.
Personal terms have already been sorted with Becks reportedly in line to receive 50% of merchandise sold with his name on, and 50% of revenue from friendlies in which he features. Part of the deal may involve a friendly played in LA, of which ironically Beckham could actually receive 50% of the revenue. His wage demands have been reported as modest and not out of line with what Milan would expect to pay at £75,000 a week - nowhere near the half a million that Kaka was reportedly offered by Man City...but as Beckham himself says 'at this level, it's not about the money' - after all if it were all about the money he could probably make more in LA.
